Experience
- More than 30 years experience in the financial services industry
- More than 30 years experience operating my own professional accounting practice (starting on a part-time basis, but as my client base grew from referrals, I made the switch to full time in 2006)
Community Involvement
- I strongly believe in giving back to the community.
- Since moving to the Midland area in 1983 I have served on the boards of Big Brothers, The Arthritis Society, Junior Achievement, Scouts Canada and L’AHEFH. I have been a volunteer in the Jackrabbit Ski program at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre and a referee for North Simcoe Youth Soccer.
- I joined the Midland Y’s Men’s Club in 1997, served as President for a 1 year term and have held the position of Treasurer since 2006. I also led group cycling classes at the YMCA 2 times a week for more than 10 years.
- In 2007, I was honoured to accept an invitation to serve as the Treasurer for the Huronia Community Foundation, and completed my term there in 2011.
- With a passion for the arts, I volunteer at the Midland Cultural Centre, The Mariposa Folk Festival, and served on the executive of the Midland and District Camera Club for several years.
